I heard this place was nice. I'll never know. I left the credit card at home and found out they don't accept cold hard cash for a deposit, despite being offered up front. The fact your business turns away PAYING customers is despicable. I will NEVER return here, and I'll tell all my friends and family and coworkers about how terrible your business is. You're encouraging people to use credit when they might choose not to, when as a customer it is MY choice how I pay. I chose to pay MORE, for a better Hotel 5 minutes down the road, which gladly took my cash in hand, no questions asked, period. Response to your response: I've traveled the world. Last year. Not once was I asked for a credit card when offering cash as a deposit. This is the entire WORLD. There's 3 hotels besides yours with such a policy. How very broad of you to include the entire industry in your 0.001% of such a large industry.

Loved the view and the breakfast waffles. We usually travel with other pillows but we didn't need to this time. They have several plush pillows and we had a great sleep. Highly recommend the Inn.

Very friendly staff, beautifully maintained grounds with a great view of the lake, breakfast included, lots of parking. Most of the rooms appear to have a lake view as well. Our room on the second floor had an ample sized balcony with two chairs and a small table with a beautiful lake view. Also had a fridge and freezer slightly bigger than the average in a hotel room and an electric stovetop. We went for a 30 min boat ride on the lake which is a couple steps from the lobby, and it was both cheap and convenient. I would stay here again if we ever return to visit Nanaimo and need a hotel.

Very Clean, fantastic continental breakfast. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

We got in to Nanaimo after a very long day of traveling. Thankfully, at the Inn on Long Lake we had a smooth check-in and a clean room. The staff were friendly and good at their jobs. They were able to answer all of our questions and have a whole board of restaurant options (I would recommend taking a quick picture). Also, the continental breakfast was tastier than most. By far the best part about this hotel is the lake it backs onto. We were lucky to be on the first floor and had a patio door out to the lake. There is a fair amount of space, and you can rent kayaks and paddle boats if you want. There are also barbecues for use. We didn't find it to be a problem, but this hotel is dog friendly. All in all a nice stay, I would come again.
