Really nice fields. Would be better if they had bleachers to sit on. Will know for next time to bring our own chairs. Fields are kept up very well.
Excellent park! Went to the Kinsman trail beside it (nice, simple, flat trail in the shade of the trees). Big playground, sports field, and community center with gym, and pool! The pool area for small kids is great! There's a lazy river-current simulation at the back, nice gradual shallow end and warm water.
Beban park is awesome. There is an amazing playground for children. There is the participaction park for cardio workouts. There is a community center and an ice rink. A very great deal of activities for all ages.
Great Variety of Activities and Options Plenty of outdoor activities, from the off leash dog park, baseball and soccer field, golf, enclosed playground for children. Seasonal activities include Farmers market, the Vancouver Island Exhibition, Hockey and more. Inside the complex and available year-round are the Ice Rink, Pool (4 pools,dry & steam saunas, hot tub, change rooms with showers and lockers) and Meeting Rooms.Swimming and skating lessons are available and Personal Trainers are available for the by gym (though not required) Home many annual events, Home Improvement shows, Christmas and Craft shows, the Taste of Nanaimo and many more Multi day events and shows. Community services ranging from Canadian Blood Services, Flu shot clinics, Spring break children's activities and Craft and Fitness classes of many varieties. A great location for all ages, abilities and interests.
Awesome park! It's big and often busy, but fully fenced and has a bike trail around the playground. Equipment for every age. Covered picnic area.
