Fantastic place to camp, but walk-in only. The spots are very private and come with a bin to put your food in at night (there are raccoons). The hike around the island is wonderful. There are a lot of different animals around (raccoons, albino raccoons, deer, rabbits, otters and a variety of birds). Get started early to stay ahead of the crowd.
Wow! Nicest campground I have EVER seen! Absolutely stunning beauty and so clean and fresh also. Hands down the nicest, most well equipped and fabulous camping place you could ever imagine! Do not miss this experience!
We just went for a little bit at low tide and picnic'ed at the beach. Left our kayaks there and walked over to the campgrounds and other side, which was also beautiful. Looks like a great campground with water and bathrooms. Would like to take the trail to the lake next time.

We had an amazing day at Newcastle Island. Everything is well marked and you can hike a little or a lot to see great views and scenery.
