This is an awesome park big forest with two lakes right inside town of Nanaimo. Beautiful trails for walk, jog and cycling (mountain bike). Get to see many birds, creeks running towards lake during spring season. Please don't walk on lakes during winter as ice may not be think & strong enough to bear your load. It's open all around the year hence we must use proper gears accordingly. Going with a buddy is wise idea. As it is big, it has multiple entrances and exits. Very nice forest feeling, not crowded at all. Worth a stroll in this place.
