Really kind and calm staff. Pricing is fair and reasonable. My dog was well taken care of and I feel very comfortable bringing both my pets here. I've been to a couple vet offices in Nanaimo and my experience here was by far the best. I felt the staff were all very competent and really took their time to do a thorough exam appointment and get my dog up to date on everything he needed.
I recently took my reactive rescue dog in to have a couple of concerns checked out. I called ahead to let staff know about Bruce's issues (hes nervous and he bites) and brought him in with his muzzle on. I went in expecting not much to happen as in previous experience elsewhere the vet was not very able to examine him due to his...personality. Dr. Sandie and Lolita worked with Bruce so well. They were able to check-up on every concern I had and Bruce was (amazingly) pretty chill and happy. They were super informative, and very supportive and positive about the training we are doing. On top of the amazing care we received, the price for everything was much lower than I had anticipated. I left feeling very happy and relieved to know that our future vet visits will be successful. I would 100% recommend Harbour City Animal Hospital to anyone and was so impressed with their treatment of my sometimes challenging dog!!
A more capable and caring vet and her staff, I have not had the good fortune to meet. Dr. Sandy immediately took my injured border collie and set him on the road to a full recovery. She and her assistants gave me the confidence to get through the whole stressful experience. I will be forever grateful. They truly care.
Fantastic service and care. The "go-to" place if you're new to Nanaimo or if you want that warm fuzzy feeling when needing care for your cat or dog. I'd go 6 stars if Google had that.
